Via the ergonomic strap glove both right- or left-handed users may use the scanner, and it quickly converts from a ring to glove scanner. Plus, thanks to its professional FlexRange scanning technology, it quickly and reliably captures even damaged or poorly printed barcodes at distances ranging from a few cm up to 10 m. Honeywell has designed the 8675i to withstand the frequent shocks that portable devices are often subjected to in fast-paced work environments.

It also meets IP65 standards for being dust- and water-proof, withstands multiple falls from heights of up to 1.8 m, and easily withstands temperatures ranging from 50 °C to -20 °C. This also makes it suitable for use in non-air-conditioned or cooled warehouses. The scanner's top performance is ensured by Bluetooth 5.1 and NFC, an easily replaceable 570 mAh battery, and Honeywell Operational Intelligence (optional).
