The compact installation printing units Citizen PMU2200II/2300II produce receipts at up to 150 mm per second and 8 dots/mm (203 dpi) using direct thermal printing. They can process rolls with a width of 50, 60 (PMU2200II) and 80 mm (PMU2300II), a maximum paper thickness of 150µ and variable roll diameters of up to 102 mm. The operating temperature range of -20 to +60 °C enables particularly demanding applications. Fast paper handling as well as various mounting options for the rolls and printing units provides a degree of flexibility that is especially required with installations in machines and kiosk systems. Depending on its application, a horizontal and a vertical variant can be used, with the paper supply placed behind or below the unit.
The entire mechanism can be accessed easily at any time, allowing technicians to resolve paper jams within seconds. Paper can be refilled from almost every side, even the print head is very easy to clean. An optional label printer version with integrated black mark sensor is also available. A variety of interfaces (parallel, RS-232, USB) guarantees fast integration with existing systems.
